Change Your Life

1.      What Needs to Change?
Sometimes you need to resolve outstanding issues before you can start to focus on new projects. Are there things getting in the way of your clear thinking? Is now the right time for a change? You may think you need change when a new perspective is all that is required. Back to your personal development here!

2.      Decide on your Goals
What are your priorities? What would you like to be remembered for? What do you want to achieve? Start with a theme and fine tune it to a 'SMART Goal' (SMART = Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timed.) Remember that these are not cast in stone and as you change and grow in yourself you can fine tune or even scrap them and start again. You need to be motivated to achieve these goals so ensure you have a reward for achieving them.

3.      Plan, plan and plan
So now you have a list of goals that you want to make happen. To make them achievable you need to plan your actions to get there. Think about the final result and ask yourself what you need to do to get there. "In order to...I need to...". To get to that step what do you need to do before that? Keep working backwards until you have your first step. Sometimes you will jump about and sometimes you will miss a step. Keep juggling until your path to your goal is clear.

4.      Make it Happen!                                                                                 What are you waiting for? Get on with your action plan. If you hit an obstacle or a stumbling block go back to your goals and your plan and check it out again. Revise things if necessary. Keep going, one step at a time.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Wherever you are in your path of change there will be obstacles that get in the way. Some will be of your own making, others circumstances beyond your control.


1.      Lack of Self Belief
Are you not able to change because you are different to everyone else? Perhaps you don't think you are clever or brave enough to take the steps to change your life. Increase your self esteem and start to see yourself in a new light. Yes, even you, can make the change to a better life. You may have to work hard - everyone does but you are as able as anyone else to do it!
